13 Reasons Why..

Hey! It's me again! ;D
So, for today I'm gonna talk (or is it write? :-/) about a book that i read last year; entitled '13 reasons why'.

Basically, the book is about a teenage girl that committed suicide and there are 13 reasons why she killed herself and each of the reason involves a different person. In simpler words, there are 13 people that made her kill herself.
So, before she killed herself, she recorded voice tapes of herself talking about what had the 13 people did to her life and how it affected her life. The tapes was to be passed around from the 1st person up to the 13th person (sort of like a last will).
The thing that the 1st person did was pretty simple. But then the 2nd person started to make her life worse and it goes on and on until it reach the 13th person and she just can't seem to stand it any more and decided to end her life...

After reading this book, it made me realise one thing that I had never give a thought about before.
It's that, everything we do gives an effect on our own life or another person's life. Even if we don't give a thought about it. Take throwing a banana peel on the floor for an example. We might think that it's normal and nothing much as there are a lot of people in the world that litter. However, have you ever thought about the consequences of your action? Someone might accidentally slip by stepping on the banana peel that you had thrown. It's okay if that someone only fell and nothing bad happen to him or her. But, what if he/she fell, break his/her bone and end up becoming disabled? To make it worse; what if he/she is a dancer and just because of that one banana peel, end up losing their career?
You get my point right? :-/

Everything affects everything...

You don't know what goes on in anyone's life but your own, and when you mess with one part of a person's life, you're not messing with just a certain part of his/her life. Unfortunately, you can't be that precise and selective. When you mess with one part of a person's life, you're messing with their entire life.

So, what I've been meaning to say through this post is that; let us all give a thought of what we are going to do or say BEFORE we actually do or say it. Regretting over what you did is not a very good idea because as we all know, there is no time machine that can rewind the time back to the past. In addition, life is also too short to be filled with regrets. ^^

It’s 2012!!

So, as stated above, it’s 2012! This means, a new year had just begun! Therefore, Happy New Year everyone!! I do realise that today is already the 21st of January; which means New Year is like 21 days ago... but still, it’s better late than never rite? ;D

Actually, I’d been planning to start writing a blog a year ago. But somehow, I was too lazy and never had enough will to really start and write one.. (Yea, lazy me..  -_-“) Hence, after a year of procrastinating, here I am, with my first entry ever!~ (applause please! XD)

*Ehem. Back to the topic for today. 2012. The 12th year of the 3rd millennium and of the 21st Century, and the 3rd of the 2010s.

As everyone might have already known, it’s rumoured that the year of 2012 (To be more precise, 21st of December 2012) will be the end of the world. According to a New Age interpretation of this transition, it is believed that this date marks the start of time in which Earth and its inhabitants may undergo a positive physical or spiritual transformation, and that 2012 may mark the beginning of a new era. Others suggest that the 2012 date marks the end of the world as we know it or a similar catastrophe. Scenarios suggested for the end of the world include the arrival of the next solar maximum, or Earth's collision with a black hole, passing asteroid or a planet called "Nibiru". In conclusion, there are many theories on this topic.

However, I can’t say that I believe in any of these theories (no offence intended). Because as a Muslim, I believe that the world can end anytime. It may be today, tomorrow, next week, next month or even next year. As stated in Al-Quran (surah Luqman, verse 34):-

Indeed, Allah [alone] has knowledge of the Hour and sends down the rain and knows what is in the wombs. And no soul perceives what it will earn tomorrow, and no soul perceives in what land it will die. Indeed, Allah is Knowing and Acquainted.” (31:34)

Which means, only Allah knows when the world will really end. We humans can only guess and predict.  Nonetheless, no matter when will the world end; we still have to live our life as if we will die tomorrow because just as how only Allah knows when the world ends, same goes to when we will die. Only He knows it.

Thus, let’s just lead our life like how we normally do. For me, 2012 is just like any other new year. (Well, excluding the fact that I will be facing one of the most important examinations in my life this year. ¬_¬”) Thereupon, this year will be no different from any other new year. New year, new resolution, new self and a new better me! Insya-Allah! ^^
Happy new year everyone!! May this year be better than the past years. (n_n)

Heal the past;
Live the present;
Dream the future..

Sincerely,
